As the sun shines, the tulips grow - their rainbow colours each unique to one another. Movement in the slight spring breeze is apparent through every palette knife stroke and rough paint application. Outstanding from the dark background, the tulips incorporate, almost unnatural, shades of orange, yellow and blue which contrast their white highlights and the green, green grass.
